SDR as a Service

A dedicated Sales Development Representative, fully briefed on your ICP, without the hiring, training, or three months of ramp up.

What it is

SDR as a Service puts a dedicated sales development resource on your account. They run prospecting, outreach, and the first pass of qualification, and they work the way an internal hire would, just without the recruiting process to get there.

Hiring a sales development representative is a bigger commitment than the salary suggests. You're signing up for the search, the interviews, the onboarding, the tooling, the coaching, and roughly a quarter before the role produces anything you can forecast against. If the hire doesn't work out, you start the sequence again with nothing to show for the months in between.

This is the same function without that exposure. One person, assigned to your account and only your account, learns your product and your buyers and runs prospecting daily. You direct the work the way you'd direct an employee. You just skip the part where you spend a quarter finding out whether the employee was the right one.

Who it's for

  • Companies that need SDR capacity without adding a full time hire
  • Founders and sales leaders who need pipeline moving now, not after a three month hiring cycle
  • Teams testing a new ICP or region before committing to an in house hire for it
  • Account executives spending half their week prospecting instead of selling

In practice

How the work actually gets done.

The detail behind the five steps, for the version of you that wants to know what you are paying for before the first call.

01

Why dedicated matters more than it sounds

Plenty of agencies describe their people as dedicated while running them across five or six accounts. The tell is in how the work gets done: a shared representative can only work from templates, because there isn't time to learn six products properly. Every account gets the same sequence with the company name swapped, and every account gets whatever attention is left over once the largest client has had theirs.

One account per person changes what is possible. Your SDR can sit in on a discovery call, hear the objection that keeps killing deals at the pricing stage, and have that objection answered in the outreach by the following week. They recognise your competitors by name. They know which accounts your team is already working. None of that survives being split six ways.

02

What onboarding actually involves

The first week is not campaign week. It's a product walkthrough, a session on positioning and the objections you hear most, a review of deals you won and, more usefully, deals you lost, and a look at your existing customers to find the patterns worth targeting. If you have call recordings, we listen to them. Customers explain your value proposition better than your website does.

Out of that comes the ICP definition, the target account list, the messaging framework, and the qualification criteria, all of which you sign off before anything sends. Most accounts are live in about two weeks. That is slower than switching on a tool and considerably faster than a hire.

03

The day to day, and how you see it

Your SDR runs a daily rhythm: new accounts researched and added, sequences sent, LinkedIn touches placed, calls made where the buyer profile supports it, replies handled, meetings booked and confirmed. Activity lands in your CRM if you want it there, so pipeline reporting stays in one place rather than in an agency dashboard nobody on your team logs into.

You get a weekly report covering what went out, what came back, and what is changing next. You also get direct access to the person doing the work. If you want to redirect them toward a vertical that suddenly looks promising, you tell them, the same way you would tell anyone on your team.

04

Where the handoff sits

The SDR takes a prospect from unaware to a booked, qualified conversation. Your account executive takes it from there. We don't run discovery calls, quote pricing, negotiate, or close, and we would be doing you a disservice if we tried. Those conversations need product depth that only your team has.

That boundary is worth agreeing explicitly during onboarding, because a vague handoff is where most outsourced sales arrangements quietly fall apart. We define what a meeting has to clear, who it goes to, and what context arrives with it, before the first campaign goes live.

What success looks like

A steady rhythm of outreach and qualified conversations, run by someone who knows your business, without carrying the overhead of a new hire.

How the engagement runs

One SDR, one account, on a monthly retainer with no recruitment fee and no ramp up period to absorb. You get weekly reporting, direct access to the person working your account, and the ability to redirect targeting whenever your priorities change.

FAQ

Questions we get asked.

Is this the same as outsourcing my whole sales team?

No. The SDR handles prospecting and qualification. Your team still runs the sales conversation and closes the deal.

Do I keep the same SDR the whole time?

Yes. One dedicated person on your account, not a rotating pool that changes every few weeks.

Can I weigh in on messaging and targeting?

Yes, and we'd rather you did. Onboarding includes your input on ICP, positioning, and tone before anything goes out.

How does this compare to hiring an SDR in house?

An in house hire costs more than the salary once you add recruitment, tooling, management time, and the quarter of ramp up before the role contributes. The trade is real though: an employee sits in your office, absorbs context by osmosis, and stays for years. This is faster to start, cheaper to stop, and better suited to testing a motion before you commit headcount to it.

What tools does the SDR work in?

Yours where it makes sense, particularly your CRM and calendar. We bring the prospecting and sequencing stack, so you are not buying licences for a campaign you are still evaluating.

What happens if the SDR isn't a good fit for our account?

Tell us and we replace them. It is a reasonable thing to ask for and a much shorter conversation than the equivalent one about an employee.

Will prospects know the SDR isn't an employee?

They work under your brand with an email address on your sending domain, so the experience is continuous from the prospect's side. We don't pretend to be something we're not if anyone asks directly.
